Mercury Prize- nominated Seth Lakeman is the fastest-rising star on the folk roots scene, his album Freedom Fields has sold over 100,000 copies in the UK alone and helped Seth build on his traditional cult following, finding a whole new audience for his rhythmic, captivating brand of indie-folk song writing.
Seth was named Folk Singer of the Year and Freedom Fields awarded Album of the Year at the prestigious Radio 2 Folk Awards.
Seth's first live DVD Live at the Minack, filmed at the outdoor Minack Theatre in Cornwall, was released on 30 November. His eagerly anticipated new studio album Hearts and Minds is set to be released in April 2010.

World influenced acoustic music, with a hint of the bizarre! From Cornwall, 3 Daft Monkeys combine rousing vocals, frenetic fiddling, rhythmical 12-string guitar, dancing bass and foot drum.

Kris Drever and Tim O'Brien

Tim O'Brien, grammy award winning singer and musician from Nashville, Tennesse plays solo as well as touring with his own band, with Steve Earle and as part of the hugely popular Transatlantic Sessions. In April 2010 he plays on Mark Knophler's American tour.
 
Winning the  BBC Horizon Award for Best Newcomer in 2007 sent Kris Drever off on a stint of touring and recording that really hasn’t stopped since. Originally from Orkney Kris Drever is one third of the highly acclaimed Anglo-Scottish band Lau and has just released his second solo album ‘Mark The Hard Earth’ which features amongst others Tim O'Brien.
 
A rare chance to see these two fantastic musicians together. Together they will play some of the songs from the record and some of their own repetoires.

A driving sound of bagpipes, accordions and fiddle, fused brilliantly with kicking rhythms of guitar, bass and drums, Skerryvore are a young band blasting their exciting sound to audiences from the Western Isles of Scotland, to the thousands at Celtica in Italy! An all male band, they have been dubbed the 'boy band' of traditional Scottish music!! The roots of the band come from the West Coast of Scotland and in particular the tiny Island of Tiree, in the Inner Hebrides of Scotland.

Kevin Dempsey and Joe Broughton have been playing together since 2000. Following the success of their first two albums "Every Other World" and "Freehand" they are currently working on their third album due to be released summer 2009. Kevin and Joe have toured together extensively in Italy, Holland, Belgium, France, Germany, Austria and USA as well as in the UK.

Douglas Montgomery (fiddle) and Brian Cromarty (guitar/mandola/vocals) are Orkney duo - Saltfishforty. Combining the traditional music of Orkney with original compositions, they have already released 2 albums with a third iminent! Building on the success of the albums, their reputation as a fresh and dynamic live act is blossoming.
